After three decades in Congress, Dana Rohrabacher was out of touch with the district. But we had a two-fold task: make sure a Democrat made it out of the primary and then tie Dana’s out-of-this-world views to issues that the district cared about.

Our mail needed to disqualify Dana as being out of touch with Orange County. In a crowded environment, we used a mixture of creative approaches while echoing the campaign red box and amplifying the HMP TV messaging.

Our 12-piece general election program stood out in mailboxes, giving Democrat Harley Rouda the edge to ultimately defeat the three-decade incumbent.
